Pakistan: Strategic Political Defense Committee Meeting in Riyadh Next Week

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, said on Friday that Riyadh will host an emergency meeting of the Strategic Political Defense Committee, under the Mecca Agreement signed between Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, which will focus on Houthi attacks in Saudi Arabia.

He noted that “more than six countries wish to join the Mecca Agreement,” adding that “new membership requests will not be considered until the agreement is fully operational, which could take up to a year.”
