Feed Traders and Breeders Unions Present "Border Strip Food Security Project" Initiative

Saud Al-Hajraf, President of the Feed Traders Union, Nida Al-Mutairi, a member of its board of directors, and Mutar Al-Baghl, a member of the Livestock Breeders Union, presented the “Kuwait of the Future – Border Strip Food Security Project” initiative. The initiative aims to establish an integrated system for agricultural, livestock, and food production, thereby supporting the state’s direction in enhancing food security, boosting local production, and achieving self-sufficiency.

This presentation took place during a meeting hosted by Al-Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Adib Nasser Al-Abd Al-Sabah at the governorate’s diwan on Thursday, where the initiative’s objectives and components were outlined, along with the importance of unifying efforts among relevant authorities and specialized unions to develop the agricultural, livestock, and food production system and enhance the utilization of available capacities and resources.

The governor emphasized Al-Farwaniya Governorate’s commitment to supporting initiatives and ideas that contribute to serving society and boosting local production, commending the efforts made to support food security and advance the development process in the State of Kuwait.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the guests expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the governor for his warm reception, his interest in the initiative, and his support for efforts and initiatives aimed at enhancing food security and developing local production in the State of Kuwait.
