For the sixth consecutive year, the Capital Markets Authority is participating in the events of Global Investor Week, which is organized annually by a committee emanating from the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) since 2017. The initiative aims to achieve two main objectives: first, raising investor awareness and enhancing their financial literacy and educational opportunities; and second, protecting investors. It also targets other goals, such as strengthening cooperation among IOSCO members in the context of achieving the aforementioned primary objectives.
The Authority plans to implement an awareness campaign throughout October, preceding this year’s international event, which will take place from October 5 to 11, 2026. The campaign will focus on three main themes aligned with the awareness topics of this year’s Global Investor Week:
1. Investor Resilience: Aimed at raising awareness about the resilience factors that investors must possess to protect their investments and cope with market fluctuations, particularly: knowledge and action plans for both bullish and bearish market conditions, and investment diversification.
2. Digital Deception: Aimed at highlighting digital deception methods and deepfakes created using artificial intelligence technologies, including voice and image manipulation, fabricated videos, and other forms of cyber fraud that evolve alongside rapid technological advancements.
