The representative of His Highness the Amir then unveiled the memorial monument, marking the official opening of the third phase of the Martyr’s Park.

The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by recitations from the Holy Quran, and a speech delivered by the Minister of the Diwan of the Amir’s Affairs, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, on this occasion.

Allow me, first and foremost, to convey to His Highness the Amir of the State, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and guard him, my highest expressions of gratitude and appreciation for His Highness’s gracious patronage of the opening ceremony of the third phase of the Martyr’s Park, under the auspices of the Diwan of the Amir’s Affairs. This event embodies His Highness’s concern, may God protect him, and his constant commitment to the development and advancement of our beloved nation across all fields.

Today, we celebrate this new phase, which represents a rich extension of this distinguished national landmark and reinforces its constructive role as a vibrant space that integrates culture, entertainment, and community engagement.

This achievement adds to the developmental projects undertaken by the Diwan of the Amir’s Affairs, including the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre, the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Centre, the Bayt Al-Qawasim Palace Museum, and the Kuwait City Motorsports City. These projects span diverse fields but share a common goal: serving society, enhancing the quality of life, and meeting the aspirations of citizens and all residents of the State of Kuwait.

These accomplishments have been realized thanks to the wise vision and sound guidance of His Highness the Amir of the State, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and guard him, as well as his support for national projects, reflecting his firm approach to elevating the nation’s capabilities.

Kuwaiti youth hold a special place in His Highness’s attention, as he instills in them confidence, encourages initiative, creativity, and responsibility, recognizing their role in shaping the future.

On this occasion, we extend our sincere thanks to the representative of His Highness the Amir, may God protect and guard him, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, and the distinguished attendees for gracing this ceremony. Your participation in this event provides moral support to all those who contributed to this achievement and serves as an incentive for them to continue their work and creativity for the progress and prosperity of the country.

We also express our deep appreciation to the Deputy Minister of the Diwan of the Amir’s Affairs and General Supervisor of the third phase of the Martyr’s Park project, Sheikh Abdulaziz Meshal Mubarak Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah; the Chairperson of the Project Supervision and Management Committee, Ms. Anwar Al-Yatama; the Vice Chairperson, Mr. Khaled Al-Filikaoui; and all those involved in the project for their extensive, persistent efforts, dedication, sincerity, and commitment to excellence. They have set an exemplary model of competence and effective cooperation, demonstrating the ability of Kuwaitis to deliver large-scale projects. Their contributions are a source of pride and honor, and their work deserves commendation. We extend our profound gratitude, praise, and thanks to them. We also thank the sponsoring companies for their valued support and contribution to the success of this ceremony, appreciating their partnership with the government and their backing of developmental projects, which reflects a shared responsibility in serving the nation.

We ask God to protect Kuwait and its people, and to perpetuate upon it the blessings of security, safety, stability, and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect and guard them. May Kuwait always remain a homeland of goodness and giving, and a beacon of culture, thought, and arts. May the path of construction, development, progress, and prosperity continue on its soil, realizing the nation’s elevation and the citizen’s well-being. Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

A documentary film was then screened, showcasing the cultural centers affiliated with the Diwan Amiri, highlighting their prominent cultural and civilizational facilities and landmarks, and their role in preserving national heritage and enhancing the cultural landscape in the State of Kuwait, alongside the programs and activities they provide that contribute to highlighting national identity, introducing Kuwait’s history and civilizational legacy, and showcasing its distinction in its cultural and artistic journey.

We gather today on a distinguished national and cultural occasion: the opening of the third phase of the Martyr’s Park. We celebrate a new achievement added to Kuwait’s civilizational journey and a new cultural and artistic edifice: the Al-Sour Theater. These achievements take us toward the future, rooted in our heritage and national identity, and serve as a place where Kuwait’s memory meets its present and the aspirations of its coming generations.

As we celebrate this achievement, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the leading artists and stars, all participants in this national presentation, the production teams, government entities, and participating institutions for their significant efforts in ensuring the success of this national occasion.

We also direct our heartfelt thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to our partners in this major national celebration: National Bank of Kuwait, Kuwait Finance House (KFH), Al-Shaya Group, Ooredoo Kuwait, and Binstar Al-Yousef Company, in recognition of their generous initiatives and active contributions to producing this celebration, and in pride of their role as partners in the success of this major national and cultural event.

Perhaps one of the most beautiful significances of this occasion is that the Al-Sour Theater begins its artistic journey with a production bearing its name: the major national theatrical presentation “Al-Sour,” which evokes the epic of Kuwait’s wall across generations, embodying values of unity, solidarity, loyalty to the homeland, and rallying around wise leadership.

May God protect Kuwait and perpetuate upon it the blessings of security, safety, and stability under the shade of the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, may God protect and guard him, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect him, and may He continue upon our beloved homeland the path of goodness, giving, progress, and prosperity.

A group of leading artists and stars presented the national celebratory artistic performance “Al-Sour,” which, through its artistic and spectacular tableaux, depicted milestones from Kuwait’s history and national journey, evoking values of cohesion, loyalty, and belonging to the homeland, as well as the innate spirit of mutual support and solidarity among the people and heroes, especially at the forefront during crises, and their rallying around wise leadership, along with the enduring national heritage passed down through generations.

Following the ceremony, His Highness’s representative, may God protect him, conducted a tour that included areas of the third phase of the Martyr’s Park, during which he inspected the external and internal facilities, which encompass cultural, tourist, and recreational zones, as well as commercial projects and logistical services within the park.

His Highness’s representative departed the venue with the same warmth and appreciation with which he was received.
