This statement came during the Council’s meeting on Wednesday, chaired by University President Dr. Dina Al-Milhim, who commended the efforts and preparations of the colleges across all university campuses, and their dedication to providing an appropriate academic environment and support services to welcome students and ensure an orderly start to the academic process. She expressed her hope that the year would be filled with productivity and achievements.

She appreciated the efforts of all colleges, sectors, departments, and working teams that contributed to these preparations, stressing the importance of maintaining the same spirit of work throughout the academic year to realize the university’s aspirations and enhance performance quality across its various sectors. She also emphasized the importance of activating the role of committees in academic departments and colleges, ensuring their formation and operations in accordance with applicable regulations and bylaws, thereby strengthening procedural integrity and organizing academic work.

She stressed the necessity of adhering to approved mechanisms for textbook accreditation through relevant committees, and limiting the purchase of approved textbooks to the university student bookstore, ensuring clear and uniform implementation of procedures in this regard.

Dr. Al-Milhim noted the formation of selection committees for deans of several colleges at the university, in accordance with the regulations, systems, and laws governing this matter. Committees for selecting deans of the remaining colleges will be formed subsequently, following established frameworks and guidelines.
