Gulf Football Union renews support for Infantino

The Gulf Football Confederation has reaffirmed its support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino, highlighting the Swiss official’s role in leading the global football body and praising his efforts to develop the sport and expand its reach at all levels.

This Gulf position comes amid growing global debate over the future governance of FIFA, as the organization approaches its presidential election scheduled for March 2027, which Infantino has announced he intends to contest for a new term.

The Gulf Football Confederation comprises eight national associations from the Gulf region, and its stated stance underscores the continued relationship and coordination between the Gulf football system and FIFA. This alignment coincides with FIFA’s focus on football development, support for national associations, and programs aimed at growing the game.
