Kuwaiti Achievement Opens Path for Chemotherapy Treatment for Cancer Patient

The Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that a medical team from the Gastroenterology Unit at Jabir Al-Ahmad Hospital successfully performed the first procedure of its kind in Kuwait to drain bile via endoscopy through the stomach without surgical intervention. The patient, a Kuwaiti national, made a full recovery and was discharged from the hospital without complications.

The ministry emphasized that this achievement reflects the advancement of specialized medical services in Kuwait, as well as the competence and capability of national medical staff to perform precise and complex interventions within the country.
