Ambassador Bourasli: Supporting International Efforts to Achieve Security, Stability, and Strengthen International Peace

Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Austria, Fawaz Bursali, presented his credentials as Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) today, Wednesday, during a meeting with the Executive Secretary of the Organization’s Preparatory Commission, Dr. Robert Floyd.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Kuwaiti Embassy in Vienna said that Ambassador Bursali emphasized Kuwait’s support for the objectives of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and its commitment to strengthening the nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation regime, thereby contributing to international efforts aimed at achieving security and stability and enhancing international peace.

He stressed the importance of continuing international efforts to achieve the universality of the Treaty and its entry into force, particularly in light of current challenges facing the disarmament and non-proliferation regime, and underscored the necessity of intensifying joint efforts to support the Treaty’s objectives and enhance its role in reducing the risks of nuclear testing.

He reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to continuing its contribution to international efforts aimed at consolidating an effective disarmament and non-proliferation regime and supporting initiatives designed to enhance security and peace at both the regional and international levels.
