Boubyan Bank concluded its field training program, organized during the summer holidays under the “Bader Wa Yana” project, in collaboration with the General Authority for Orphan Care, with participation from university and institute students under the Authority’s patronage, as part of joint efforts to develop their skills and prepare them for professional life.
The program provided participants with the opportunity to gain direct exposure to the banking work environment through various bank channels, via a series of field experiences and practical tasks that contributed to enhancing their capabilities, introducing them to professional communication mechanisms, and helping them understand customer needs and service delivery, thereby broadening their horizons and assisting them in discovering their potential and professional interests.
Commenting on this, Adel Al-Humaid, General Manager of the Human Resources Group, said: “The program is an extension of Boubyan’s approach to investing in youth by providing training opportunities that offer them practical knowledge of work requirements and better prepare them to launch their careers.”
He added: “The bank is committed to supporting young national talents, especially university and institute students, through initiatives that provide a suitable environment for learning and experimentation, enabling them to develop and refine the practical and personal skills necessary to build successful and promising career paths, while keeping pace with labor market demands and the rapid transformations in the banking sector.”
Al-Humaid emphasized that continuing the collaboration with the Orphan Care Authority for the fourth year reflects the integration of efforts among national institutions to provide high-quality opportunities for youth, helping them maximize their potential and enhance their readiness to actively participate in the labor market and support Kuwait’s development journey.
For his part, Abdulaziz Al-Roumi, Assistant General Manager of the Human Resources Group, said: “We believe at the bank that field training represents an important stage in youth preparation, as it offers them the opportunity to transition from academic knowledge to practical application and gain experiences that contribute to building their professional identity and boosting their confidence in their abilities, thereby helping them form a clearer vision of their future career paths.”
He added that the program aimed to provide a practical experience that gives participants a broader understanding of institutional work, by involving them in a range of daily tasks and introducing them to banking operational mechanisms. He noted that their engagement throughout the various stages of the program contributed to developing several key skills, including time management, teamwork, accountability, and flexibility in handling different situations.
Al-Roumi concluded by emphasizing that the program is part of the bank’s community partnership aimed at supporting and caring for the Authority’s wards, in line with Boubyan’s values and its focus on empowering youth. He reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to continuing to develop and support initiatives that provide them with practical learning opportunities and skill development, in preparation for their professional futures.
