Deputy Interior Minister and Turkish Justice Minister Discuss Ways to Develop Security and Criminal Cooperation
Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Ahmed Al-Wahayeb, accompanied by his delegation, met with Turkish Deputy Minister of Justice Sadat Ay Yildiz, in the presence of Kuwait’s Ambassador to Turkey, Marzouq Al-Shaboub, to strengthen cooperation and joint security coordination between the two friendly countries.
Major General Al-Wahayeb conveyed greetings and appreciation from First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud to the Turkish Deputy Minister of Justice, emphasizing Sheikh Fahad’s commitment to enhancing cooperation frameworks and developing joint work areas between the two sides, reflecting the deep, distinguished relations between the State of Kuwait and the friendly Republic of Turkey.
The meeting discussed several topics of mutual interest and ways to develop cooperation and coordination in security and criminal matters, along with exchanging expertise, experiences, and best practices to improve operational mechanisms and elevate institutional performance.
For his part, Turkish Deputy Minister of Justice Sadat Ay Yildiz welcomed the visit by the Deputy Minister of Interior and his delegation, stressing the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides to serve mutual interests and strengthen the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries.
During his visit to Turkey, Al-Wahayeb and his delegation also met with Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior Kubra Guran Yigitbasi, in the presence of Ambassador Marzouq Al-Shaboub, to discuss ways to strengthen joint security cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries.
Al-Wahayeb conveyed greetings and appreciation from First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud to the Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior, emphasizing Sheikh Fahad’s commitment to developing joint work areas and exchanging expertise between the security agencies of the two countries, reflecting the deep, distinguished relations between the State of Kuwait and the friendly Republic of Turkey.
The meeting addressed several security issues of mutual interest, foremost among them combating organized crime, drug trafficking, and smuggling, as well as enhancing information exchange and coordination mechanisms between relevant authorities, particularly in confronting transnational crimes. It also highlighted the use of modern technologies and best security practices to improve performance efficiency and security readiness.
The Deputy Minister of Interior and his delegation also visited the operations room, where they reviewed work procedures and the modern systems and technologies used in managing and monitoring security operations. They received a briefing on coordination, response, and handling of reports and incidents.
Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahayeb stated that the visit reflects the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and his commitment to expanding security partnership horizons with friendly countries and developing joint operational mechanisms to confront security challenges and consolidate the foundations of security and stability.
For her part, Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior Kubra Guran Yigitbasi emphasized the importance of continuing joint work and exchanging expertise between the two sides to serve mutual interests and contribute to enhancing the security and stability of the two friendly countries.
