The Kuwait Municipality confirmed today, Tuesday, the continuation of its field rounds as part of the “Build, Don’t Destroy” campaign, which aims to ensure compliance with the safety regulations to safeguard the security and well-being of workers and residents of housing cities.
Mohammed Al-Muwaisiri, head of the safety inspection team at the Al-Farwaniya Governorate branch, said in a press statement that the rounds in the governorate resulted in issuing eight warnings for violations of non-compliance with the regulations and controls governing construction works.
Al-Muwaisiri added that the campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of adhering to the requirements and controls related to construction, demolition, and restoration works, by educating property owners and contractors on the necessity of transporting rubble and construction waste to designated sites, and not leaving them in courtyards, roads, or public areas.
He stressed the need for proper handling of construction rubble and building waste, which could endanger the lives of workers and residents of the areas if neglected by contractors and property owners.
He noted that the “Build, Don’t Destroy” campaign is part of the Kuwait Municipality’s efforts to strengthen supervision, curb violations, and consolidate a culture of preserving the environment and public property.
Al-Muwaisiri called on plot owners and those constructing homes to follow the official accounts of the Kuwait Municipality to benefit from awareness messages and guidelines that will be published periodically, and to contact the municipality to inquire about any regulatory requirements, thereby facilitating their procedures and ensuring their compliance with laws and regulations.
