Kuwait and Saudi Arabia enhance technical coordination to complete the water linkage project

The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy held a technical meeting today, Tuesday, with a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to discuss the latest developments in the water interconnection project between the two countries, as part of the agenda for the scheduled technical meeting and visit on September 29 and 30.

The meeting also addressed several key topics, including the scope of related works, review and discussion of technical information and requirements exchanged between the two sides, and determination of the next steps in the interconnection project and the mechanism for completing coordination between the parties.

The first day’s program included a visit to the control room at the National Water Control Center to observe the monitoring, control, operation, and management mechanisms of Kuwait’s water network, thereby supporting technical discussions and enhancing the exchange of expertise and coordination between the two sides regarding the project.
