Mohammed Al-Jalawi:

- The municipality operates in accordance with regulations and a work mechanism established by its officials.

- We have been keen, from the first day of the campaign, to announce the most prominent violations and observed points.

Mohammed Al-Jalawi, a member of the central team at the office of the Director of Kuwait Municipality, announced that four areas in private residential zones are free of all encroachments on state property, confirming that they have been handed over according to a statement from the relevant department in the municipality.

During a field campaign conducted by the municipality in the Farwaniya Governorate, as part of the “Kuwait is More Beautiful Without Encroachments” campaign in the Sabah Al-Nasser area on Monday, Al-Jalawi emphasized the continued activation of supervisory teams’ roles to remove encroachments on state property across all governorates.

He clarified that “the municipality’s message is clear: the campaign to remove all old and new encroachments is ongoing and not time-bound.” He added that “the presence of field teams in Farwaniya Governorate is a continuation of their supervisory role in enforcing the rule of law and safeguarding public safety in residential areas, which is the municipality’s primary objective, while emphasizing that state property is a shared responsibility for everyone.”

Al-Jalawi explained that the municipality operates according to regulations and a work mechanism established by its officials, and that specialized teams do not take any action unless it is in accordance with specific, binding guidelines to avoid any notable errors.

Al-Jalawi stressed that compliance with municipal teams is a fruit of the campaigns’ success, particularly since the municipality has been keen, from the first day of the campaign’s launch, to announce the most prominent violations and observed points. Therefore, it should be noted that encroachments have decreased due to the cooperation of many violators.

He stated that “supervisory teams in the municipality identified a structure built on main streets within one of the squares in the Sabah Al-Nasser area without a permit and without adhering to the setbacks designated by the municipality.”

He confirmed that “the structure was removed, especially since it encroached by up to 25 meters outside the property boundaries,” noting that this encroachment is considered one of the models identified by the teams.

Al-Jalawi clarified that “field teams conduct periodic campaigns to identify any violations on state property in all governorates, in order to curb unsightly scenes and the accumulation of waste in residential areas.”

Al-Jalawi pointed out that “the municipality’s main objective is to safeguard the public safety of residents in various areas, and that field teams operate according to carefully planned strategies designed to be implemented across all governorates.”
