Ambassador Al-Amiri: Intensifying international efforts to prevent escalation and protect countries' security and sovereignty

Kuwait’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mohammed Al-Amiri, affirmed on Monday the importance of respecting state sovereignty and prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy in addressing crises and resolving conflicts.

This statement came during Ambassador Al-Amiri’s participation in the international forum “Peace Diplomacy for a Sustainable Future,” held in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, coinciding with the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the International Decade for the Promotion of a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World, 2021–2030.

In his address to the forum, Ambassador Al-Amiri noted that recent developments and events in the region this year underscore the need to intensify international efforts to prevent escalation and safeguard the security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of states.

He emphasized Kuwait’s steadfast commitment to a policy of dialogue, peaceful solutions, and multilateral action in confronting regional and global challenges, driven by the conviction that diplomacy and dialogue represent the optimal means of resolving differences and enhancing security and stability.

The forum was attended by Azamsho Sharifi, First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan, along with several senior government officials, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Dushanbe, and a select group of professors and researchers specializing in diplomacy and international relations.
