Foreign Minister Reviews Joint Humanitarian Efforts with Acting Executive Director of the World Food Programme

Foreign Minister Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah received on Saturday, November 22, 2025, the Acting Executive Director of the World Food Programme, Carl Skau, at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the meeting reviewed the close relationship between Kuwait and the World Food Programme, as well as joint humanitarian efforts and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination to support effective responses to regional and international crises and humanitarian challenges.

In a separate development, the Foreign Minister met with the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Al-Nafati, at the Kuwaiti Permanent Mission to the UN. The discussion covered bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations and ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields, along with an exchange of views on recent regional and international developments.

Additionally, the Foreign Minister held talks with Djiboutian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and official government spokesperson, Abdelkader Omar, at the Kuwaiti Permanent Mission to the UN in New York. The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and avenues for enhancing and developing cooperation in various sectors, alongside discussions on the latest regional and international developments.
