"Blue" coach: Proud of what the players delivered at Gulf Cup 27

Kuwait national football team coach Helio Souza expressed his pride on Saturday in the performance delivered by the "Blue" players against their Iraqi counterparts, while expressing regret over the defeat and confirming that exiting the Gulf Arab Football Championship (Gulf Cup 27) represents a difficult feeling for the team.

In a post-match press conference, Souza stated that the national team made some changes during the match, although he does not prefer making numerous substitutions. He noted that the "Blue" had numerous opportunities and needed greater focus in certain moments of the game, as a team cannot maintain an offensive posture throughout the entire match.

He added that the team needs to work on the finer details to reach the level it aspires to, noting that the team did not achieve the result it was seeking and must continue working to improve.

Souza reaffirmed his pride in the players and the high level they displayed during the match, while simultaneously expressing regret over the loss. He pointed out that the national team had two chances in the first half and created numerous opportunities in the second half.

He clarified that the "Blue" had an opportunity to score a third goal, but it was the Iraqi national team that succeeded in scoring it at the end of the match, reiterating his regret over the defeat, particularly given the level of performance delivered by the players.
