Talabat experts train Abdullah Al-Salem University students on AI-powered website development

Continuing its commitment to supporting the development of technical education in Kuwait, Talabat, the leading daily needs application in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, organized the latest session of its monthly “Next Tech Gen” (NTG) program in collaboration with CODED Academy. The initiative featured a specialized two-day workshop targeting students at Abdullah Al-Salem University.
In a statement, Talabat noted that as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts, particularly in supporting education, it continues to organize educational events under the monthly NTG program. The goal is to enhance alignment between academic outcomes and the evolving requirements of the job market.
The program provides students with the opportunity to learn directly from a select group of technology experts at Talabat through practical sessions covering several key technical fields, including artificial intelligence (AI), product development, data analytics, and digital platforms.
In this session, Talabat partnered with CODED Academy, the region’s first academy specialized in programming education, to deliver a workshop aligned with future requirements. Over two intensive days, participants learned how to design, launch, and transform complete websites into scalable digital projects that address real market needs, equipping them with the skills necessary to turn their ideas into promising digital ventures. The workshop attracted significant participation, reflecting the growing interest among Kuwaiti youth in technology, with more than 100 participants attending over the two days.
On this occasion, Aml Boukhamsin, Director of Corporate Affairs at Talabat Kuwait, stated: “We believe that the true impact of technology stems from investing in the individual. Through NTG, we continue to equip young people with practical skills that prepare them to lead the future of technology and innovation. Our collaboration with CODED reflects the synergy of expertise between two entities committed to empowering the next generation of technical talent, while also providing students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leveraging AI tools to transform their ideas into viable digital solutions.”
For his part, Hashem Bahbahani, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of CODED, said: “NTG provides students with valuable opportunities to acquire practical technical skills. The workshop enabled participants to explore the mechanisms of website development using AI tools through practical applications, boosting their confidence in their ability to turn ideas into complete websites and preparing them to keep pace with the rapidly evolving demands of the digital economy.”
The statement added that among the 90 project ideas presented during the workshop, several innovative websites stood out. One notable example was the creation of a private prediction platform for a group of friends in Al-Dawaniya, designed to compete during the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In this platform, each participant selects the winner of every match from the quarter-finals to the final, earning points based on the accuracy of their predictions. A live leaderboard tracks the competitors’ standings throughout the tournament, with the most accurate predictor being crowned at the final whistle of the last match.
The statement further noted that in line with Talabat’s ongoing efforts to empower ambitious Kuwaiti talent and equip them with practical skills that meet future demands, the workshop provided participants with the opportunity to explore the latest AI-powered tools and technologies for website development. This included training on effectively crafting prompts and instructions, as well as utilizing advanced platforms such as Replit to design, develop, and launch complete websites.
Participants also gained hands-on experience in integrating external digital services and understanding the modern architecture of web applications, while developing the business skills necessary to transform digital solutions into scalable and sustainable ventures through effective business models. This enables them to leverage their technical knowledge to launch market-ready digital projects with promising commercial potential.
The statement emphasized that Talabat remains committed to continuing its investment in practical technical education through NTG by strengthening students’ engagement with industry experts and leveraging the latest advanced technologies. This reflects its long-term vision of preparing a future-ready generation capable of contributing to advancing Kuwait’s digital economy and supporting the objectives of Kuwait Vision 2035.
