Kandil Al-Olush to Al-Rai: Motherhood is a big part of my life

Syrian actress Kanda Aloush expressed her happiness with her recent experience in the series “50/50,” which recently premiered on one of the streaming platforms and consists of 15 episodes.

In a statement to “Al-Rai,” she added that “working with young stars is enjoyable, as they bring happiness and fun to the filming atmosphere.”

Aloush explained, “I play the character of Rania, a woman who is light-hearted, charming, and affectionate, yet at the same time domineering and harbors a mix of sadness and joy within her. Therefore, the details and contradictions in her character are appealing to me to portray.”

Regarding any similarities between herself and the character of Rania, she denied this, saying, “In real life, I am an affectionate mother, and motherhood is an essential part of my life. However, I do not share Rania’s domineering way of dealing with others. Moreover, I do not like her way of thinking or handling matters. If I were in her position, I would not behave the same way toward those around me.”

The Syrian actress praised her collaboration with director Ahmed Abdelwahab, his management of the project, and the distinctiveness of his thinking. She also expressed her happiness at repeating her cooperation with producer Sally Walli, following their previous collaboration on the series “Bait Al-Maadi.”

The series “50/50” stars, alongside Aloush, Intisar, Heba Abdelaziz, and a group of young actors including Yasmina Al-Abd, Moaz Hisham, and Hamza Diab, along with several guest stars including Amr Yousef, Ahmed Fawey, Shimaa Saif, and Hatem Salah. The series was written by Amr Abu Zeid and Ahmed Hashim, and directed by Ahmed Abdelwahab.
