Al-Yousef Inquires About Injured Victims of Stray Dog Attack

On Saturday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef checked on the health of two individuals who were attacked by dogs.

Al-Yousef visited an employee of the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries at Farwaniya Hospital, who had been attacked by several stray dogs while performing his duties at the authority’s headquarters. The incident resulted in multiple injuries. Al-Yousef inquired about the employee’s condition, listened to an update on his medical status, and wished him a speedy recovery and full health.

He also checked on the condition of a Kuwaiti national who was attacked by a dog while entering her residence, sustaining multiple injuries. She was transported to Amiri Hospital for treatment.

The Ministry of Interior stated that security authorities immediately responded to the reported location. It was determined that the dog belonged to an individual. A case of “negligence in the custody of an animal and accidental injury” was registered, and necessary legal procedures are underway.

The Ministry urged the public to exercise caution and to call the emergency number (112) to report any situations posing a risk to public safety or gatherings of stray dogs, providing precise location details to enable the relevant authorities to take the necessary measures to protect lives and enhance public safety.
