2.86 billion dinars... ceiling for the Ministry of Education's budget

The total ceiling set for the education budget draft was approximately 2.86 billion dinars, with the ministry required to prepare its budget draft in accordance with the specified ceiling and submit it to the Ministry of Finance by the end of September.

The Ministry of Finance emphasized the necessity of rationalizing spending and controlling expenditures without compromising the quality of services provided. It also stressed the importance of accurately estimating the number of new appointments and adhering to these figures during budget execution, as well as prioritizing construction projects and contracts in line with actual needs and priorities.

Furthermore, the ministry underscored the importance of reviewing the fees for services provided and increasing their values to reflect their true worth, in accordance with Decree-Law No. (1) of 2025 concerning fees and financial costs for the use of public facilities and services. It also called for enhancing the efficiency of government revenue collection and working to recover outstanding debts owed to the government.
