Al-Hamidi Food and Al-Mahdouda donate $2 million to the response fund

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced that Al-Hamidi Foodstuffs Company and Al-Hamidi Limited have each contributed one million dollars, totaling two million dollars, to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund.

In a press release, the Development Fund stated that these contributions add two companies operating in distinct economic sectors to the list of the fund’s supporters, reflecting the diversity of institutions participating in the initiative and its expansion to encompass multiple sectors within the Kuwaiti market.

The contributions come at a time when the fund has begun directing its resources toward financing damage repair operations, following its transition from the phase of mobilizing contributions to the implementation of approved projects and the assessment of needs submitted by affected government entities.

Al-Hamidi Foodstuffs is active in Kuwait’s food industry sector, with activities that include the preparation, preservation, and production of a range of food products. Al-Hamidi Limited, on the other hand, operates in the furniture and household goods trade sector and manages the operations of IKEA in Kuwait, one of the world’s leading brands specializing in furniture and home solutions.
