U.S.-Arab-Islamic Summit to Support Peace
Representing His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, continued his intensive activities in New York on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Through a series of political, economic, and investment meetings, he discussed strengthening Kuwait’s international relationships and partnerships, as well as regional developments and the global economy.
His Highness the Crown Prince participated in a joint meeting hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump with leaders and heads of delegations from several Arab and Islamic countries. The meeting addressed the rapid developments and serious recent events in the region, particularly Iran’s heinous attacks on regional countries, the safety and freedom of maritime navigation, and global energy supplies, in addition to the situation in the Gaza Strip.
The meeting also reaffirmed the importance of strategic partnership and close, continuous coordination with the United States to enhance regional and international security, support efforts toward de-escalation, and establish the foundations for comprehensive and just peace in the region.
His Highness met with Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the Arab League, where they discussed ways to strengthen Arab solidarity and cooperation, coordinate positions on Arab issues in international forums, and review the latest developments in the regional and international arenas.
He also met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the sister Arab Republic of Egypt; Ali Al-Fal Al-Zaidi, Prime Minister of the sister Republic of Iraq; and Bassirou Diomaye Faye, President of the friendly Republic of Senegal. During these meetings, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, as well as exchanged views on key regional and international developments.
During his meeting with Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, they agreed to work toward establishing a strategic dialogue chaired by the foreign ministers of the two countries, to serve as an institutional and regular framework for consultation, coordination, and elevating bilateral relations.
In a series of meetings on Wednesday, the Amir’s representative received Karol Nawrocki, President of the friendly Republic of Poland, and his accompanying delegation; Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the sister Federal Republic of Somalia, and his accompanying delegation; Justin Nsengiyumva, Prime Minister of the friendly Republic of Rwanda, and his accompanying delegation; and Dr. Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of the sister Republic of Lebanon, and his accompanying delegation.
The economic and investment meetings held in New York by the representative of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, included meetings with senior leadership from three of the world’s leading institutions in asset management, financial services, and investment: KKR, Goldman Sachs, and BlackRock. These meetings focused on investment opportunities and joint cooperation, developments in global markets and the economy, as well as developing national competencies and exchanging expertise in the financial and investment sectors.
