Crown Prince Discusses Investment Opportunities and Market Developments with Global Financial Leaders

The representative of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, continued his economic and investment meetings in New York with meetings with leaders of three of the world’s leading institutions in asset management, financial services, and investment.
On Tuesday evening, the Amir’s representative received Scott Nuttall, Partner and Co-Chief Executive Officer of the investment firm KKR, at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York City.
During the meeting, they discussed investment cooperation opportunities, reviewed promising opportunities and the company’s cooperation with the State of Kuwait, and exchanged views on global economic prospects and current financial challenges.
The Amir’s representative also received David Solomon, Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs, and his accompanying delegation. They discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation, examined several economic and developmental issues and promising investment opportunities in the State of Kuwait, and addressed investing in national capabilities to develop leadership and technical skills and build a workforce capable of keeping pace with rapid transformations in the investment and financial markets sectors. They also reviewed the latest economic developments in the regional and international arenas.
In a third meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince received Larry Fink, Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock, and his accompanying delegation. They reviewed and discussed economic and investment issues of mutual interest, examined the latest global developments in investment and financial markets, and explored ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides. They also emphasized the importance of developing human capital and investing in national competencies through the exchange of expertise and knowledge transfer, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals.
The meetings were attended by Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi; Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Saud Al-Sabah, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the United States of America; Ambassador Tariq Muhammad Al-Bunai, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations; and Lieutenant General Ahmad Abdulrahman Al-Dai, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office.
