Al-Anzi: New expressway to link Al-Sadad with Al-Jahra Road

Al-Anzi emphasized in his proposal the necessity for the municipality’s executive body to coordinate with the Ministries of Public Works and Interior, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, and other relevant competent government entities, to work on the following:

2. Studying the establishment of additional direct entrances and exits on the Sixth Ring Road to serve the city, including assessing the feasibility of creating an entrance and exit opposite the N1 district, in accordance with technical and traffic regulations and safety requirements.

3. Studying the establishment of a new highway connecting the Sixth Ring Road with the Jahra Road (80) (formerly Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Road), located between Saad Al-Abdullah City and the Amghara Industrial Area, to provide a fast and direct traffic axis that facilitates entry to and exit from the city, the Amghara Industrial Area, and surrounding areas.

4. Studying the integration of the proposed highway with the surrounding main axes and roads, so as to distribute traffic flow across multiple axes, alleviate pressure on existing roads and intersections, and enhance ease of movement.

6. Studying the utilization of approved road network development projects in the area, including the road project linked to the consultancy agreement, to ensure integration between the existing road network, future projects, and the entrances and exits of “South Saad Al-Abdullah.”

7. Coordinating among the concerned entities to incorporate the traffic solutions and projects resulting from the studies into the infrastructure implementation plans before the city is fully occupied, thereby preventing future traffic congestion.
