"Al-Sabah Al-Ahmad for Talent" and "AIU" sign memorandum to develop youth skills
The Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, one of the centers under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, signed a memorandum of understanding with the American International University (AIU) to support gifted and creative individuals and promote a culture of innovation in Kuwait.
Nada Al-Dihani, the Director General of the Center, told KUNA on Wednesday that signing the memorandum with the American International University is an important step toward enhancing cooperation with academic and educational institutions and providing broader opportunities for youth to develop their skills in entrepreneurship and technology.
Al-Dihani added that supporting the gifted and creative requires the integration of efforts between specialized institutions and educational bodies. This cooperation will contribute to providing training and scientific programs and activities that help young people develop their capabilities and benefit from the educational and competitive opportunities available to them locally and internationally.
For her part, Areej Al-Ghanim, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the American International University, emphasized the importance of collaborating with entities concerned with nurturing young talents and capabilities. She noted that supporting entrepreneurship and technical training are two crucial aspects in developing youth skills and preparing them for the future.
Al-Ghanim clarified that signing the memorandum reflects the commitment of the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity and the American International University to building an effective partnership that contributes to empowering youth, supporting the gifted and creative, and enhancing knowledge and skills in the fields of science, technology, and entrepreneurship. This supports efforts aimed at preparing a generation capable of innovation and contributing to building a future based on knowledge and creativity.
The memorandum focuses on enhancing mutual cooperation and exchanging expertise in the fields of entrepreneurship, technical training, and developing the skills of youth and young talents. It also aims to enhance learning and training opportunities in entrepreneurship and modern technologies, serving age groups from 7 to 35 years old, and contributing to providing a supportive environment for innovation, creativity, and capacity development.
Under the memorandum of understanding, the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity will provide a range of programs, training courses, and scientific activities, in addition to organizing local and international competitions and engaging experienced and competent lecturers and experts in relevant fields. Meanwhile, the American International University will contribute to achieving the memorandum’s shared objectives, thereby enhancing opportunities for developing youth skills and expanding their access to educational and training programs and initiatives.
