Bahraini King Receives Fahad Al-Yousef: Strong Fraternal Ties and Close Historical Relations Between the Two Countries

Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed on Wednesday the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pride in the strong fraternal bonds and close historical ties that unite it with its sister state, the State of Kuwait, noting that these relations continue to grow stronger and more distinguished amid the mutual commitment to enhancing and developing them across all fields.

The Bahraini News Agency (BNA) reported that these remarks were made during the King’s reception of Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, who visited to pay his respects to the King on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom. The reception was attended by Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. During the meeting, Sheikh Fahad conveyed the greetings and high regard of his brother, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, along with his best wishes for the Kingdom and its noble people for further progress and prosperity under the King’s wise leadership.

The King of Bahrain praised the leading role played by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait in supporting and developing the distinguished Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations, as well as Kuwait’s honorable stance toward its sister state, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and its noble efforts to strengthen joint Gulf cooperation.

He also highlighted the high level of fruitful cooperation and joint coordination between Bahrain and Kuwait at all levels, particularly in the security sector, which serves the mutual interests of the two sister countries and reinforces their solid fraternal ties. He emphasized the importance of continuous consultation and coordination between the two countries, especially during the current delicate circumstances facing the region.

For his part, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf expressed his deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to the King of Bahrain for the warm reception and generous hospitality. He expressed his great pride in the King’s efforts and his constant commitment to strengthening the distinguished historical ties and consolidating the bonds of fraternal cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, while commending the honorable fraternal positions of the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of the Bahraini monarch.
