Representative of His Highness the Amir Receives the CEO of BlackRock

His Highness Sheikh Meshal Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Representative of the Amir of Kuwait, received His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince, yesterday evening, Tuesday, Larry Fink, Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock, and the accompanying delegation, at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York City, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed and discussed economic and investment topics of mutual interest, examined the latest global developments in investment and financial markets, and explored ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides. They also emphasized the importance of developing human resources and investing in national competencies through the exchange of expertise and knowledge transfer, which would strengthen the competitiveness of the national economy and support the achievement of sustainable development goals.

Attending the meeting were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Ambassador Mansour Ayad Al-Otaibi, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States of America Sheikha Al-Zain Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Saud Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Tariq Muhammad Al-Bunai, and Major General Ahmad Abdulrahman Al-Duai, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office.
