Deputy Foreign Minister for Gulf Cooperation Council Affairs Emphasizes the Importance of Strengthening Gulf Partnerships with France and Switzerland

Ambassador Al-Marrri told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this came during his participation in the joint ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and France, held yesterday, Monday, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.

He pointed to the importance of elevating the Gulf-French partnership to broader horizons, recalling the first summit of GCC leaders and the French President, which was held in Riyadh in 2015.

In a related context, Ambassador Al-Marrri praised the memorandum of understanding for establishing a strategic dialogue between the GCC and the Swiss Confederation, which was signed last January, emphasizing its importance in laying the foundation for the Gulf-Swiss partnership and enhancing cooperation opportunities between the two sides.

He clarified that this came during his participation in the first joint ministerial meeting between the GCC and the Swiss Confederation, held yesterday, Monday, in New York on the sidelines of the high-level week.
