Kuwait Deaf Club discusses with Equit supporting its members' participation in sporting events

Khalid Al-Mutairi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti Sports Club for the Deaf, emphasized the importance of building effective partnerships with private sector institutions to create greater opportunities for the club’s members and showcase their abilities and talents. He praised the community role of Equit and its commitment to supporting inclusivity initiatives and empowering the deaf community.

This statement was made during a meeting held by Al-Mutairi with officials from Equit Petrochemicals, accompanied by sign language interpreter Ali Al-Kandari, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and support the deaf community in upcoming sports and community events.

The meeting was attended by Luluwa Al-Manifi, General Manager of Communications and Government Relations, as well as Lama Al-Otaibi and Haya Al-Dhakir from the ENGAGE team supporting inclusivity.

The discussions focused on mechanisms to support the participation of the club’s deaf male and female members in races and events organized by National Bank of Kuwait in collaboration with Equit during the upcoming month of December, thereby reinforcing the principles of inclusivity, equal opportunity, and the integration of persons with disabilities in various sports and community activities.
