Trump: I call on Iran to make a deal, but its leaders refuse

US President Donald Trump stated, “I am calling on Tehran to make a deal, but the Iranian regime refuses. We will resolve the issue with Iran one way or another.”

He added, in a speech before the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, “I initiated negotiations with Iran to end its support for terrorism and halt its nuclear program, but it refused. I offered Iran economic cooperation in exchange for ending its nuclear program and its support for terrorism, but it refused. That is a major mistake.”

He noted that “the United States is stronger today than ever before, and its military is the strongest in the world. The future of the United States is very bright, and its economy is the envy of the world.”

He continued, “We have the most secure borders in American history. No illegal immigrants have entered the United States during the recent period.”

He said, “We have intervened decisively to shape the world. We have invested heavily in the US military and used force to make America the greatest in the world.”
