Cabinet Approves Draft Decree-Law on Housing Finance for Eligible Beneficiaries

The Cabinet approved a draft decree-law concerning housing finance for beneficiaries of residential care, reflecting the state’s commitment and full responsibility to embrace family issues and needs, with housing care being the most important.

This came during the Cabinet meeting held today, Tuesday, under the chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister.

He noted that Law No. (118) of 2023 concerning the establishment of companies for creating or developing residential cities or areas and their economic development, as amended by Decree-Law No. (89) of 2025, constitutes one of the pillars in addressing the housing problem. In light of the government’s desire to strengthen this law and achieve its objectives, the need arose for a new law to serve as one of the alternatives contributing to resolving the housing issue from an economic perspective that ensures the required sustainability.

The Cabinet expressed its sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to the Saudi people on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of Saudi National Day.

He affirmed the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the two countries, expressing his wishes for the continued security, elevation, prosperity, and development of the brotherly country. He recalled the genuine and sincere fraternal positions of the Kingdom toward the State of Kuwait and the issues of the Arab and Islamic nations.

He expressed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the Kingdom and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty and security.
