His Highness the Crown Prince, Representative of His Highness the Amir, Receives the President of the World Bank Group and the Managing Director

Representing His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince, received Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank Group, and Abdulaziz Ibrahim Al-Mulla, Executive Director of the World Bank Group. The meeting took place at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, the latest developments regarding the training and skills development of national human resources were reviewed, along with leveraging the World Bank Group’s expertise in providing technical support to serve the objectives of the Kuwait Vision. The discussions also covered ways to enhance cooperation in developmental and advisory fields, and exchanged views on regional and international economic and developmental issues, as well as efforts to finance sustainable development.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Jeraf Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi; Ambassador Sadiq Mohammed Maarefi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Organizations Affairs; Sheikha Al-Zain Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Saud Al-Sabah, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the United States; Ambassador Tariq Mohammed Al-Bunai, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations; and Major General Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Dai, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince.
