Deputy of His Highness the Amir Receives the President and CEO of Investment at Alphabet and Google

The representative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince, and Ruth Porat, President and Chief Investment Officer of Alphabet and Google, at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York City, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, the latest developments in the framework agreement between the Government of the State of Kuwait and Google Cloud were reviewed, along with the implementation of strategic projects related to digital transformation, cloud computing infrastructure, data centers, and the development of digital skills among Kuwaiti national cadres. The prospects for joint cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the global Alphabet company were also discussed, in a manner that supports the State of Kuwait’s vision.

Attending the meeting were Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Ayad Al-Otaibi; Ambassador Sadiq Mohammad Maarefi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Organizations Affairs; Sheikha Al-Zain Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Saud Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States; and Ambassador Tariq Mohammad Al-Banna, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
