Introduction of "Sea Taxi" and Sea Delivery Services

State Minister for Economic Affairs and Investment and Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry, Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq, has established seven new commercial activities within the framework of the Unified Guide for Classifying Economic Activities in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The newly established activities include “sea taxi” (international code 501101), “marine training and exercises” (code 854900), “sale and delivery of consumer orders via sea” (code 479900), “floating recreational activities” (code 932906), “advertising display services in marine areas” (code 731001), “general marine repair and maintenance services” (code 331509), and “manufacturing of moving automatic shading systems made of aluminum and tensioned fabrics” (code 131087).

The Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Coast Guard, is responsible for overseeing the six marine activities, while the Public Authority for Industry oversees the activity of manufacturing moving automatic shading systems made of aluminum and tensioned fabrics.

The decree stipulates that it shall take effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette, with all relevant officials tasked with implementing it according to their respective jurisdictions.
