3,615 direct traffic violations recorded within 24 hours

- 154 violations for using a mobile phone while driving

As part of security efforts to regulate traffic flow, the General Directorate of Traffic conducted a traffic campaign across the country’s governorates, resulting in the issuance of 3,615 diverse traffic violations directly within 24 hours.

According to statistics obtained by Al-Rai, 296 violations were issued for trucks, 179 for failing to signal when changing lanes, 154 for using a mobile phone while driving, 82 for speeding (radar-detected), and 68 for not wearing seat belts. Additionally, 46 violations were issued for tinted windows, nine for towing infractions, and one for failing to display a license plate.

According to the statistics, 15 wanted individuals were referred for arrest and detention, enforcement of judgments, and expiration of residency, with some apprehended. Furthermore, four Kuwaiti nationals were taken to the police station for negligence posing a risk to others, and four vehicles wanted for judicial seizure were confiscated.
