Orba strengthens BEYOND with a new suite of digital solutions

Wurba Bank has announced updates to its suite of services and features within the “BEYOND” ecosystem, encompassing online business banking and the business banking app. The aim is to provide companies and entrepreneurs with more flexible digital tools to manage their daily banking transactions, in line with the bank’s ongoing commitment to enhancing digital banking services tailored to the corporate sector.
This move comes as the bank continues to expand its range of digital solutions for the startup, small, and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sectors, with a focus on streamlining processes, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening security and governance standards.
In this regard, Hamad Al-Mutawa, Head of Business Banking at Wurba, stated: “We view the development of business banking services as a continuous process directly linked to the evolving needs of our clients and the nature of their businesses. From this perspective, the new updates to BEYOND deliver a more integrated digital experience, empowering business owners with greater capability to execute transactions and manage their accounts with ease and flexibility.”
Al-Mutawa added: “At this stage, we have focused on developing a set of features that cater to the daily operational needs of companies, whether through transfers and credit management, or through monitoring operations and notifications. We have also introduced options that allow business owners to manage multiple companies via the app.”
In this context, Al-Mutawa clarified that BEYOND’s receipt of the “Best for Startups” award represents a significant milestone in the platform’s journey. “We consider it a driving force to continue enhancing the services provided to entrepreneurs and business owners. We are working to ensure the platform keeps pace with the various stages of our clients’ business growth, by offering banking solutions that combine flexibility, efficiency, and ease of use.”
The updates include a range of tools and features that grant business banking users greater control over their transactions. Key highlights include the ability to execute various types of bank transfers quickly and securely, the creation of up to five approval levels for transactions, and the provision of dual approval to enhance oversight and security.
The new services also enable the electronic issuance of balance certificates and IBAN certificates, as well as the management of multiple company accounts through the app, allowing access to up to five companies via the business banking application.
Additional features include the ability to send invoice payment links, receive notifications for various operational levels, execute bulk transfers and multiple transfers in a single step, and issue and deliver multiple cards with distinct functionalities.
The updates extend beyond transaction management. Through the “Marketplace” page in the digital app, the platform offers access to comprehensive solutions for businesses in their new format, alongside linking the Al-Waha Club account for earning travel miles with the BEYOND prepaid card.
These features contribute to reducing the time and effort required to complete operations, while simultaneously supporting governance and internal oversight of banking processes.
Wurba places particular emphasis on the customer and user experience in the development of BEYOND, working to provide interfaces that are simpler and easier to use, thereby making access to various services and features clearer and more seamless.
The new features are available to customers immediately upon updating the app via smartphone app stores, enabling them to benefit from the latest digital services and features offered by the bank.
Al-Mutawa affirmed that the development of the digital experience proceeds in parallel with the enhancement of the services themselves, stating, “The development process is not limited to adding new features; it also encompasses the way customers interact with the service. Therefore, we ensure that the BEYOND experience is clear and seamless, helping users access what they need and complete their transactions with minimal complexity.”
Through BEYOND, Woorabank continues to strengthen its suite of business banking solutions tailored to the needs of startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) at various stages of their growth journey.
This approach is driven by the importance of providing banking services that enable entrepreneurs to manage their day-to-day operations and equip them with the necessary tools to address their financial requirements more efficiently, thereby supporting their growth and expansion.
Al-Mutawa concluded by saying, “Innovation is a core pillar in developing business banking services at Woorabank. We will continue to update BEYOND and develop new solutions that align with our customers’ needs and the evolving business environment. Our goal is to deliver an integrated digital ecosystem that offers efficiency, flexibility, and security, supporting business owners on their journey toward growth and expansion.”
These new updates coincide with BEYOND’s achievement of winning the “Best for Start-Ups” award at the MEED Awards, a prestigious recognition from the Middle East Economic Digest (MEED), a leading institution specializing in economic and business affairs across the Middle East. This honor reflects the platform’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs.
The award carries additional significance as it marks Woorabank’s first recognition from MEED, underscoring BEYOND’s established presence in the startup-focused banking sector and affirming the bank’s ongoing commitment to developing banking solutions that respond to the demands of a dynamic business environment.
