Salah's driving license suspended for six months and fined 769 euros

Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian star and former striker for Turkish club Trabzonspor, has had his UK driving license suspended for six months after a Rolls-Royce registered to him was caught speeding.

According to the British newspaper The Sun, Salah (34) failed to inform the police of the identity of the driver after a mobile speed camera recorded the vehicle exceeding the speed limit in March 2026.

In August last year, a court in Warrington, Cheshire, issued a default judgment against Salah for failing to identify the driver. The court ordered a six-month driving ban and imposed a fine of 769 euros.

Salah did not respond to two summonses to appear in court, which were sent to his estate, valued at more than 5 million euros.

The traffic violation occurred in the Wilmslow area of Cheshire, just two days after he unexpectedly announced his departure from English club Liverpool.
