Anti-Narcotics Unit arrests suspect in Saad Al-Abdullah district for manufacturing "Shabu" in a "Kabud" shed and trafficking narcotics

Al-Yousef: We will not hesitate to enforce the law against anyone who dares to threaten the country’s security or put its citizens at risk.

Under the presence and supervision of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics successfully apprehended a suspect engaged in manufacturing the drug “Shabu” (methamphetamine), distributing and trafficking narcotics, and exploiting a warehouse in the Kabd area to carry out his criminal activities. His Kuwaiti nationality had previously been revoked due to confirmed dual nationality and possession of another citizenship.

The apprehension followed investigative procedures, surveillance, and monitoring of the suspect’s movements. A carefully planned ambush was set up, resulting in his arrest at his residence in the Saad Al-Abdullah area, where two kilograms of Shabu were found, along with raw materials used in the production of psychotropic substances.

Additionally, cash was discovered hidden in a tightly sealed underground pit. Upon confrontation, the suspect confessed to manufacturing Shabu in the warehouse in the Kabd area and stated that the seized funds were proceeds from his narcotics trafficking.

Necessary legal measures have been taken against the suspect and the seized items, and procedures are underway to confiscate the warehouse used for manufacturing narcotics.

He affirmed that the Ministry of Interior is resolutely committed to combating the scourge of drugs and cutting off its sources, and will not tolerate any violation of the law by those who dare to threaten the country’s security or endanger its citizens.
