The Interior Ministry stated in an awareness post that, as part of efforts to enhance cybersecurity awareness and protect home surveillance cameras, it is recommended to adopt several security measures to mitigate the risks of hacking and unauthorized access, including:

1. Change the default password: Ensure that the camera’s default password is changed regularly, using strong passwords that combine numbers, symbols, and letters.

3. Protect the ONVIF service: Change the password for the ONVIF service used for remote access to the camera, and regularly monitor login logs to detect any unauthorized access attempts.

4. Choose reliable cameras: Ensure that surveillance cameras are purchased from well-known and reputable companies, and verify that they offer robust security systems and features to protect your data and privacy.
