Electronic student achievement file in the "Developed Tenth Grade"

The implementation of the distribution plan for the revised Grade 10 curriculum began with the start of the academic year. The plan outlines the key features of the new curriculum, provides specific guidelines for teachers, and details mechanisms for activating independent learning and homework. It also includes directives on supporting gifted students, addressing academic difficulties and learning weaknesses, and managing class time effectively.

The plan emphasized the necessity of conducting diagnostic assessments during the first week of the academic year, which were carried out last week to identify and address academic difficulties and learning weaknesses among certain students. It also mandated the creation of an electronic portfolio for each student to collect their work throughout the academic year, and the activation of the Microsoft Teams platform to publish homework electronically and provide individual and group feedback to students.

The plan highlighted the importance of nurturing gifted and high-achieving students by providing quality learning opportunities tailored to their potential. This is to be achieved through enrichment activities, supportive programs, and preparation for competitions and events that help refine their talents and develop their capabilities. Additionally, it called for the early identification of gifted students through classroom observation, assessment results, written and oral productions, teacher recommendations, and the maintenance of a register of gifted students.

The plan outlined the key features of the development in the new curriculum. These include enriching the textbook with authentic scientific content and presenting concepts clearly and coherently, alongside a scientific methodology. The textbook adopts a learning approach that follows a gradual progression from reviewing prior experiences to acquiring new skills. It also emphasizes assessment and training, making practice a central component of the learning process through diverse and progressive exercises after each lesson, as well as comprehensive final exercises to consolidate skills and correct errors. Finally, the textbook employs visual summaries at the end of each lesson, compiling key concepts into a single, organized table on one page to facilitate quick review and reinforce the connection between ideas.

The plan defined the teacher’s role in addressing learning difficulties through accurate diagnosis, identifying missing skills via diagnostic tests and assessments conducted in the first week. It requires the development of a structured and purposeful remedial plan aimed at correcting the educational process by providing a learning environment that enables the targeted group to maximize their specific capabilities. This is achieved through diverse teaching methods and varied approaches to lessons, tailored to both the targeted skill and the students’ level.

The plan clarified that diagnostic assessments are conducted in the first week of the academic schedule. Following the analysis of the results, the teacher prepares a remedial plan under the supervision of the department head and with the approval of the educational supervisor. The implementation of this plan is monitored by the department head and the educational supervisor within the specified timeframe.
