Al-Yousef: "The Blues" will compete for the title at Gulf Cup 27

Ahmed Al-Yousef, President of the Kuwait Football Association, stated that the Kuwait national team is continuing its preparations in Jeddah ahead of its participation in the 27th Gulf Cup, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia from the 23rd of this month to October 6.

He added that “The Blues” will enter the tournament with the aim of competing for the title, under the guidance of Portuguese coach Hélio Sousa, who will remain with the national team until the end of the 2027 Asian Cup.

Al-Yousef noted that Kuwait’s first match in the tournament against its neighbor, Saudi Arabia, will have a special character, as it will take place on Saudi National Day and will serve as a celebration for everyone. Consequently, the match is expected to draw significant attention from across the Gulf, the Arab world, and Asia.
