Zelensky speaks about striking multi-billion-dollar facilities in Moscow

Ukraine launched its largest-ever drone attack on the Russian capital on the final day of parliamentary elections, which President Vladimir Putin described as a test of support for the war.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said that air defense systems had shot down more than 1,600 drones since Saturday, including “450 that were heading toward Moscow.”

Sobyanin characterized the “unprecedented” attack as an attempt to “create confusion” during the legislative elections, which concluded on Sunday.

Two people, including a member of an electoral commission, were killed in the Russian-controlled part of the Kherson region when a drone struck a bus, according to local authorities.

In Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian forces had targeted “one of Russia’s most important oil production facilities and a logistics facility” in Moscow, arguing that these facilities generate billions of dollars that “fuel Russia’s war machine.”
