Foreign Minister meets UN representative on the file of missing Kuwaitis in New York

On Sunday, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jeraf Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah met with Mari Yamasita, the Senior Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for the implementation of Security Council Resolution 2792 (2025) concerning the follow-up on the file of missing Kuwaitis and nationals of third countries, and the return of Kuwaiti property, including the National Archives. The meeting took place at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the meeting discussed efforts aimed at achieving tangible progress in the search for missing Kuwaitis and nationals of third countries, determining their fate, and recovering Kuwaiti property, including the National Archives.
