Kuwait condemns Houthi militia's attempt to target Riyadh with a ballistic missile

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi militia’s attempt to target the city of Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a ballistic missile, as well as its attempts to target civilians and civilian facilities in the cities of Bisha, Taif, Farasan, and Yanbu.

In a statement issued today, Saturday, the Ministry affirmed that these hostile acts constitute a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law.

The Ministry commended the vigilance and competence of the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces in repelling these shameful and cowardly attacks.

It reaffirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its standing alongside the Kingdom, and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and the protection of its citizens and residents. The Ministry emphasized that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Kuwait’s security and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. (End)
