Indian Embassy Organizes Tree Planting Campaign

The Embassy of India in Kuwait, in collaboration with the ARMS4U Foundation, organized a tree-planting event at Al-Abaraaj Park in the Adiliya district, as part of the “A Tree for Mother” campaign. The initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance environmental awareness and sustainability, and to encourage community participation.

The event, held today, witnessed extensive participation from community members and approximately 30 community organizations, along with several partner institutions. The aim was to honor mothers and Mother Earth through tree planting, while emphasizing the importance of collective action in protecting the environment, developing sustainable urban spaces, and making Kuwait greener.

During the event, India’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Paramita Tripathi, underscored the importance of community engagement in supporting environmental sustainability, encouraging continued efforts to create greener and healthier public spaces. She noted that such initiatives contribute to improving the local environment while simultaneously fostering a spirit of shared responsibility and community interaction.

The initiative also forms part of the broader efforts undertaken by the Embassy under “Mission 6.0,” a campaign implemented by the Government of India that focuses on cleanliness, environmental sustainability, the development of green public spaces, and the promotion of community participation. This reflects the importance of eco-friendly practices and collective civic responsibility.

Through this initiative, the Embassy of India in Kuwait, the ARMS4U Foundation, and the participating community organizations reaffirmed their shared commitment to environmental responsibility and to contributing to building a greener and more sustainable future for the State of Kuwait.
