Kim Kardashian's illness raises concerns

Sky News – A new medical diagnosis received by American celebrity Kim Kardashian has raised concerns among her family, as it involves the same organ in which her father was diagnosed with cancer before his death at the age of 59.

Kardashian, 45, revealed in the promotional teaser for the eighth season of "The Kardashians" that she has been diagnosed with esophagitis.

Kardashian appeared in a hospital gown, while an off-screen voice asked her whether her father had died from the same condition.

The teaser then cut to her mother, Kris Jenner, who appeared visibly emotional and tried to hold back her tears, saying, "I can't... this makes me want to cry."

Robert Kardashian died in 2003 at the age of 59 after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer.

However, esophagitis does not imply cancer, and the likelihood of Kim's condition progressing to the disease remains limited.

Kardashian's disclosure comes nearly a year after she revealed that a small aneurysm in a blood vessel in her brain was detected during an MRI scan, which doctors attributed to stress. She later reassured her followers that her condition was stable.
