Gulf Football Union announces schedule for the Youth Championship

The Gulf Football Association announced the match schedule for the second edition of the Gulf U-17 Cup Qatar 2026, which will be hosted by Qatar from October 16 to November 4, 2026. The tournament features the largest participation in its history, with 10 national teams playing a total of 23 matches.

The competition will be organized by the local organizing committee in Qatar in coordination with the Gulf Football Association. The ten teams have been divided into two groups, each comprising five teams.

The tournament will kick off on October 16 with a match between the Qatar and China national teams at 5:45 PM at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium.

Group stage matches will continue until October 29. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, scheduled for November 1. The leader of Group A will face the runner-up of Group B at 5:45 PM at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium, while the leader of Group B will meet the runner-up of Group A at 8:15 PM at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium.

The tournament will conclude on November 4 with the final match at 5:45 PM at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium.

According to the tournament regulations, matches in the semifinals and the final that end in a draw after regular time will proceed directly to a penalty shootout.

The Saudi Arabia national team won the title of the first edition of the Gulf U-17 Cup Qatar 2025 after defeating the UAE national team 2-0 in the final at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium, becoming the first team to win the tournament.
