Ollis steals the spotlight with a stunning hat-trick

Munich - AFP - French winger Michael Olise delivered an exceptional performance, leading title holders Bayern Munich to a crushing 7-0 victory over Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena in the opening match of the fourth round of the German Bundesliga.

Olise scored a hat-trick, including a brilliant assist for his English teammate Harry Kane, who scored his second goal of the match, setting a new record.

This display highlighted the rapid development of the French winger, who has become one of the most dangerous attacking wingers in European football.

The seven goals were scored by Jamal Musiala (18), Kane (39 from a penalty and 54), Olise (43, 73, and 76), and Moroccan Ismaïla Sarr (70).

By scoring his first personal goal against Union Berlin, Kane raised his tally to 100 goals in the Bundesliga after just 98 matches, breaking a new record in the competition.

Dieter Müller held the previous record, as the former Cologne striker needed 129 matches to reach his 100th Bundesliga goal in the early 1970s.

By scoring his first hat-trick for Bayern Munich, a club he joined in the summer of 2024, while also providing an assist and winning a penalty, Olise confirmed his exceptional start to the season, bringing his total to eight goals and three assists in seven matches across all competitions.

After the match, Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany praised Olise’s commitment and his work away from the spotlight, emphasizing that reaching this level of performance requires discipline and continuous effort.
