Kuwait Squash Team Heads to Japan to Compete in the 20th Asian Games

The Kuwait national squash team delegation departed for Japan today, Thursday, to participate in the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026), which features 12 countries and a total of 64 players representing various nations across the continent.

In this regard, Adel Al-Gharib, head of the Kuwait national squash team delegation and member of the board, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the Asian competitions represent a golden opportunity for Kuwaiti players to prove their worth on the international stage, gain experience, and enhance their performance levels, given the presence of more than 60 players from different countries across the continent.

He clarified that Kuwaiti players possess the necessary capabilities to compete with their peers and even surpass them, thanks to their high skill levels and full readiness to compete at the highest level in the Asian championships, expressing the federation’s confidence in its players to deliver outstanding and strong performances.

Al-Gharib extended his gratitude to the President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, Sheikh Fahad Nasser Al-Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, for their unlimited support for Kuwaiti players and for providing all the resources needed to compete for a medal on behalf of the State of Kuwait, reflecting the standing of Kuwaiti squash players on the continent.
