36,010 traffic violations recorded over 8 days

Security and traffic operations conducted by the Traffic and Operations Sector, represented by the General Directorate of Traffic and the General Directorate of Emergency Police, across various governorates in the country resulted in the issuance of 36,010 traffic violations over eight days, the execution of 2,530 security operations, the provision of 1,135 humanitarian assistance cases, the apprehension of 203 wanted individuals, and the detention of 132 persons whose residency permits had expired. These efforts are part of ongoing initiatives to enhance road safety, improve traffic discipline, enforce compliance among violators, and apply the law to all.

Regarding the campaigns carried out by the General Directorate of Emergency Police, which took place from September 6 to September 12 of this month, numerous security and traffic achievements were recorded. Specifically, 2,530 security operations were conducted, 1,635 traffic violations were issued, 174 traffic accidents were handled, and 1,135 humanitarian assistance cases were provided. In addition, 133 wanted individuals were apprehended, 85 persons with expired residency permits were detained, and 36 individuals without official identification were seized. Four wanted vehicles were also recovered.

Furthermore, 687 identity verification cases were processed, and 15 suspects were apprehended and referred to the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics.

As for the campaigns conducted by the General Directorate of Traffic, which took place from September 7 to September 13 of this month, they resulted in the issuance of 34,375 various traffic violations and the handling of 2,625 traffic reports.

These efforts also led to the apprehension of 70 wanted individuals, the detention of 47 persons with expired residency permits, and the seizure of five individuals without official identification. In addition, three suspects were referred to the competent narcotics authority, and two individuals were apprehended in an abnormal state.

Within the framework of field operations and security and traffic inspections, 24 wanted vehicles were seized, 250 vehicles and five motorcycles in violation were impounded, 17 individuals were detained at the traffic station, and 21 juveniles were referred to the Juvenile Prosecution to take the necessary legal actions against them.

Regarding traffic accidents, 957 collision accidents were handled, in addition to 213 collision accidents involving injuries, with the necessary measures taken in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
